Beach Monkees Softball started out as a thing to do in the summer
3 years ago during 11th grade. Ron Wood, Amanda Zito and Steve Lupo started the team and Mike Long came later as well. We
thought id be fun to do since none of us were really doing anything in the summer. We went in to the highschool league not
really expecting anything but to have fun and we started winning alot of games. After we had won our first championship we
realized that we were working with a dynasty here. So in the offseason we added some key players in Tristan McLaren, Bill
Shea, Mike Shea, Kenny Wood, Andrea Shouler and Veronica Welsh. Kristen Candella and Kenny Wood suprised alot of people by
earning the Most Improved award that year and MIke Long won the MVP award after we went undefeated and won our second title
against our rivalrys; the Skcubrats. This year, our third, we added 3 new key females in Laura Candella, Maryanne Heiman and
Laura DeStafano while keeping all our guys. With our female core we have now and our guys we are pretty much unstoppable.
So far Jenn Bilski has showed tremendous improvement along with Veronica Welsh and Mike Shea. Mike Long, Ron Wood, Steve Lupo,
Amanda Zito and Andrea Shouler continue to keep the Beach Monkees roster together. I cant wait to see how we result in this
year of Beach Monkee Softball.
